Visit a physiotherapist, get a good massage, find your inner balance, learn about sports psychology and hear all about nutrition in the lecture by Jochem Uytdehaage. All this is part of the Health week: Stay fit!

Nowadays information about a good health is abundantly available. It sometimes isn’t easy to make the right choices which help you to become fit and stay fit for a prolonged period of time. Nutrition, rest, recovery and psychology come into play when looking at your long term health. This Health week focusses on how to stay fit and provides you with a lot of tools to reach your health goals.

During the whole week, you can join the physiotherapist sessions, massages and health tests. But there is more! Join the two lectures given by Jochem Uytdehaage and Martijn Veltkamp, enjoy a yoga class and experience a special edition of meditation with singing bowls. All activities can be attended without a sports card. Check the schedule below to find out what activity you want to join.

The schedule of activities.

Health tests – Monday, Wednesday & Friday: 17:00 – 21:00
If you want to stay fit, you need to know your starting point. Join a Health test to see how your health compares to the average human. What do you need to improve? On what are you ahead?  You will get instructions and help from our fitness instructor to do the different tests.

Enrol here for a test which takes about 60 minutes.

Physiotherapist consultations – Monday: 18:00 – 22:00

Do you experience pains you don’t know how to handle or do you want a professional to check on an injury? On Monday, a physiotherapist will be present to help you, treat you and provide you with information about prevention and the treatment.

Need a good massage? Do you feel stiff or tense? Then enrol for a massage to relax those tensed up muscles.

Dietician – Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday 12:30 - 14:00

Have you ever had any questions about a balanced diet, or how to live your life in a more healthy way? Then come and visit us during the Health Week. We’re Sherida and Renée, 4th year students Nutrition and Dietetics. On February 21, 22 and 24, from 12:30-14:00, we will be at the Hub for all your questions and personal advice. Sports menu

lunch – egg white vegetable omelette on bread


dinner – whole grain pasta with whitefish and vegetable sauce


Low-calorie menu

lunch – whole grain wrap with cottage cheese, spinach,

grilled vegetables and egg 


dinner – chicken filet with string-beans &

oven roasted jacket potatoes


Vegetable smoothie

Snacks and drinks during lectures on Tuesday and Thursday
